Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Leo was taught early in life to work hard, work honestly and work with purpose and perseverance. Today, Leo is a dedicated project management professional and real estate consultant who inspires and creates synergies across multi-disciplinary professional groups resulting in the development and execution of strategies to achieve measurable project related outcomes.
Leo spent most of the first decade after college (1995 - 2003) working with companies such as GlaxoSmithKline PLC, Forrest Pharmaceuticals, and Innovex Quintiles Transnational launching new prescription drug products into the U.S. healthcare market. It was there where Leo learned that no matter how good a product may be, absolutely nothing happens in terms of ROI until somebody effectively markets that product and actually sells it. While in the pharmaceutical business, Leo and his team members consistently exceeded sales revenue targets and projections in some of the most competitive healthcare market segments (Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Allergy and Immunology). Contributing to the U.S. market launch of three new prescription drugs over eight years while maintaining and growing market share for nine others, Leo and his team members won multiple national sales contests and awards.
Leo’s first real estate project (2003 - 2004) was a residential Garden Home subdivision situated in close proximity to various healthcare facilities that made it easier on senior residents to get the medical care that they routinely required. He says, “The project came about when I recognized the many inter-related ancillary market needs of healthcare consumers outside the healthcare industry.”
From 2003 to the present day, Leo has either been an equity holder, project manager, or consultant on any of several different types of residential and/or commercial real estate projects including land subdivisions, apartment complexes, condominium conversions, (and one prototype Urgent Care Center and Retail Pharmacy model).
Coupled with Real Estate Investment and Brokerage Services in Florida, development activity in the Caribbean islands of the West Indies has been a substantial focus of Leo's most recent scope of work. Since 2016 he has advised on and made policy recommendations to the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission regarding capital raise procedures and contracts utilized by Developers in five Caribbean countries. Leo's interest in such undertakings originates from his love of all things real estate related and the various business opportunities created by such projects inclusive of hotels, gaming, golf courses, restaurants, retail, and medical tourism among others.
Leo earned a baccalaureate degree from the University of South Alabama in 1995. He holds both a Florida Real Estate Broker's License (#BK3355105) and a Community Association Management License (CAM #44610). He is the Managing Broker for Eleven Beaches Real Estate Group serving all of the State of Florida and the Caribbean. He’s an active Member of the Gulf Coast Commercial Multiple Listing Service, the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors, the Central Panhandle Association of Realtors and spends free time enjoying everything that life on the Emerald Coast of Florida has to offer. He is part of the Leadership Community at his local Church and volunteers on a regular basis for special projects within his local community.
