Dale's accomplishments include establishing the hotel management company Tucker Hotels, rehabilitation of two Hilton hotels, and market positioning of the 5 diamond Canterbury Hotel in Indianapolis.  As President of Brown County and Associates he negotiated the entitlements and acquired financing for a golf resort and the limited service all-suites hotel chain New England Suites.  While at the helm of Glacier Park Inc. in a culturally-diversified, international setting, he successfully worked with the National Park Leaderships in both Canada and the USA for the extensive restructuring of the historic seven-lodge accommodations as the primary concessionaire in Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park.

 

As president of Glacier Park Inc. (a subsidiary of the Dial Corporation) Dale led the revitalization of the array of revenue centers, which included hotels, restaurants, retail stores and a transportation company of thirty-three historic tour buses.  Implementing programs of both innovation and fiscal discipline, GPI revenues grew 146% in the nine years of his presidency from while operating income rose 316%.  Margins increased 7.5% to 16.3% and return on equity from 9.9% to 33.8%.  Concurrently, Dale established strong and meaningful relationships with the National Park Service, Parks Canada, the Blackfeet Nation, State and Federal agencies.  He helped draft federal legislation to assist the rebuilding of the Glacier National Park service infrastructure.

 

A graduate in Hotel Administration from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Dale has completed studies at Cornell University, Finance, Studies at North Western University, Marketing, and studies at University of Colorado, Economics.  He is an AH&LA Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).  Dale was the co-founder of the Glacier, Waterton Visitors Assn. and sat on the Boards of The American Indian Institute, the Glacier Fund, Christian Ministry in the Parks, The Indianapolis 500 Festival and President of Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis.

 

Dale holds dual United States/Canada citizenship, resides with his wife Mary-Jane, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dale's career combines four decades of executive experience in large property general management, multi-unit chain management and new lodging product development. His diversified management background includes senior executive positions within Hilton Hotels, Hyatt Hotels, Hyatt International Hotels, President of Tucker Hotels and nine years as President of Glacier Park Inc, the Primary Hospitality Concessionaire for Glacier National Park, MT and Waterton Lakes National Park AB Canada.

 

Dale founded Scott Hospitality LLC in 2001.  The company‚Äôs core business includes a full-service hotel management company that provides comprehensive industry disciplines.  It assists lenders and owners with non-performing properties in need of management and or exit planning. Dale is a licensed commercial real estate agent and Founding Managing Director of Scott-Croft Real Estate Advisors LLC, Joe Pellillo, Designated Broker and founding member.  In 2006, Dale negotiated a 120-acre site in Scottsdale & Paradise Valley AZ for a Ritz Carlton Resort and Residences. In early in 2008 closed the 250-acre Pleasant Harbor WA site to Statesman Development for a 375-unit mixed use seaside resort and residences.
